Well, it’s definitely summer time!! This weekend Minako invited me at someone’s summer house in Izu… yeah well I’m so discreet no probs!
The house is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, great view of both the sea and the mountains, a spacious veranda to make the most of summer… I’m so jealous!
Anyways we arrived at around 5pm, left Tokyo at 1:30, weird how long it takes to go to the closest places, and we did take the semi-express, the real express being booked! The weather was cloudy so we didn’t go swimming, but we did enjoy the fresh air… Then it was barbecue time with a double birthday celebration along with a house warming party… Totally fun, drank plenty but fairly reasonably as a proof I had no hangover on the next day!
Sunday we were able to get to this nice beach with the rest of the crew, I think it’s called, white sand beach… cause the sand there is white!!!! It was lovely, plenty of waves but the current wasn’t too strong, so good to have fun with a body board.
I would definitely recommend to leave Tokyo on weekends, sometimes you don’t realize it but cities have this way of just sucking all your energy especially in summer, so getting away even just for a weekend feels great. It helps you step back put things into perspective, rest and heal…
The ocean… reminded me of la Bretagne
I like that picture
hmm… not sure about that pose… maybe my personification of Titanic!…
