Thursday was once again a fine evening to enjoy some nomunication with soon to be ex-colleague Kiyoko ! So we wondered around Ebisu and finally saw an endearing bar that had just opened! It’s a Takoyaki bar called T@ko-bose (03-3280-8989)! First what is Takoyaki (たこ焼き) well if Americans have meat balls, Japanese have Takoyaki! It’s basically a flavored dough with a piece of Tako (octopus) in the middle, it’s a specialty from Osaka. This Tako bar only serves Takoyaki it’s eat in or take away but I recommend the eat in, first because the people working there are so nice and funny (they come from Osaka, so very direct) and second the bar is very cute try to get the Japanese style room!
Because it was their opening we got to see a local celebrity! Mr Kojima Yoshio do check out this talent it’s a crack-up!
As it seems we were quite lucky that evening and found another nice place for diner. It’s a fish restaurant (03-3445-8418) in Ebisu, I insist on the fish, they really have nothing else but fish. It’s really fresh with a different menu everyday! I tried some kimedai sashimi and I absolutely loved it even nicer than tuna I think! We also had some Katsuo just because it is soon to be the end of the season. The restaurant also has a fair selection of sake, mostly junmai.
