And so it was time to leave Vancouver, after a night of madness… We were almost ready to go back to America, well we needed our dose of coffee and morning non-sense!
Crossing the border back is a drag, quite a long wait… It’s amazing how difficult it is to get inside the US!
Morning non-sense with style!
We crossed the border to Canada! Gina Trebor and I… well we almost didn’t make it! Indeed I had no address and no job in the US but the lady was nice and let us through anyway once my friend promised they’d bring me back… well I understand nobody would want an illegal Claire on the loose in their country!!!
Anyhow we arrived safely in Vancouver and had a hell of lunch/brunch/diner, I got to try the famous salmon from a famous river which name I forgot! but it was really nice! Salmon in the north is so nice not as fat as what you can usually get in Europe or Japan.
Then we were ready to meet up with ex-roommate in Taiwan Crazy Meredith… although you can never be ready to meet ever changing always bubbly Meredith! She had organized the evening… dressing up Meredith style and off to Burning love which was an “after burning man” party! That is to say costume galore, artsy stuff and random foolishness!
Organized in the what I fathomed to be the somewhat “red-light district” of town… Gina and Trebor hitchhiked for the first time of their lives! Apparently its not something you can do in the States.. We got picked up by an Iranian lady (cause it reminded her of Tehran)
We just had a fabulous time! the party was so crazy so many ingenious costumes and weird stuff… the dongeon where you could get a bit of spanking should you feel like it or just tied up in complicated knots… or else you could just watch, then you could get inside a tunnel which was supposed to represent a vagina. There was also a meditation spot and a place for art and of course the actual dance floor which just became hell on earth because of the humidity! The walls were dripping!
A fun fun night and a good reunion with lady Meredith! Although a little short!
